We’re going over the edge (literally) to raise funds for Manitobans living with disabilities.
The UpHouse team is participating in this year’s Easter Seals Drop Zone! This fundraising adventure sends teams rappelling down the Manitoba Hydro building from the very top all the way down to the streets of downtown Winnipeg.
We are raising money on behalf of Manitoba Possible, an incredible organization that works to eliminate the barriers that prevent Manitobans with disabilities from fully participating in an inclusive and accessible society.
On August 19, 2025, four of our UpHouse team members will be facing their fears and stepping backwards off the top of the Manitoba Hydro building at 360 Portage Avenue and rappelling down to the street for a good cause.

All the money raised will go directly to making Manitoba more accessible. If that alone isn’t enough to spur your interest, we also have some exciting incentives that make sparing a few dollars a little more entertaining.

Available Incentives:
- $50 – Receive unedited rappel audio of an UpHouser of your choice
- $50 – Choose a phrase to be shouted on the way down by an UpHouser of your choice
- $75 – Receive a polaroid photo of the UpHouser of your choice going over the edge
- $150 – Choose the rappel song for an UpHouser of your choice
- $150 – Receive a personalized cameo from the UpHouser of your choice
- $250 – Choose a TikTok dance for the UpHouser of your choice to perform (Kathleen, Jay or Tomer)
- $300 – Ice bucket dump for the UpHouser of your choice at the end of the rappel
- $500 – Personal billboard – opportunity for competitors to have an advertisement directly on the costume of an UpHouser of your choice
The UpHouse team has also brainstormed benchmarks to monitor and incentivize our fundraising:
- When $1,000 is reached, the team will receive microphones to wear during the drop. A highlight reel will be posted on socials to showcase the behind-the-scenes moments of the drop.
- When $2,500 is reached, the team will dress up as the cast of Kim Possible to rappel down the Manitoba Hydro Building.
- When $4,000 is reached, the team will participate in a Hot Wings Challenge and post on our socials.
- When $5,000 is reached, our Video Production Director Jay will dress up as Rufus the naked mole rat from Kim Possible, morph suit and all.
