As an HR and Operations Assistant, you will support the HR team in various administrative and operational tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows. You’re organized and proactive, helping with office tasks and contributing to our team. This role might require you to be in the office most of the time to effectively support our team.

Applicants must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have refugee status, and must be returning to school after the student placement is complete. At this time, due to student placement grants, we are unable to accept International Students.

Responsibilities 

  • Help with general office tasks, such as organizing meetings, managing supplies, and maintaining office equipment.
  • Assist in documenting HR and other internal processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives by helping plan and implement team
  • Participate in candidate sourcing and onboarding by assisting with scheduling and new hire orientations, if needed.
  • Assist with basic social media posts for staff birthdays and other internal events.

Experience

  • You must be enrolled in a post-secondary program in human resources, business administration or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing and document management skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • A team-oriented individual who values collaboration, continuous learning and inclusivity.

As Marketing Assistant, you support the client management and creative teams in developing and executing client marketing strategies, campaigns, digital promotions and content projects. You’re organized and proactive, and you keep projects running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Support UpHouse team members with client relationships and planning
  • Help manage the workflow of client projects, client communication and project timelines
  • Conduct research and audits to help kick off creative projects
  • Contribute to the development of marketing and campaign strategies
  • Work closely with the creative team to develop copy and creative concepts
  • Contribute to the development of digital and social media marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with our network of designers, digital strategists and creators
  • Participate in client brainstorms, planning and brand sessions

Experience

  • Someone with post-secondary training in marketing and communications
  • A person with strong writing and copyediting skills
  • A person who is organized, disciplined and on the ball
  • Someone who can self-manage
  • A true collaborator with an understanding and appreciation for modern marketing

As a PR Assistant, you support the public relations team in developing and executing public relations strategies, influencer marketing strategies. You’re organized and proactive, and you keep projects running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Support UpHouse team members with client relationships and project management
  • Develop written materials including media releases, blogs, social posts and more
  • Track important client metrics and prepare reports and presentations
  • Monitor media coverage of clients and their industries and prepare reports
  • Support the PR team in organizing media events and photo/video opportunities
  • Conduct research and audits to help kick off strategy documents
  • Collaborate with our network of designers, digital strategists and creators
  • Participate in client brainstorms and planning sessions

Experience

  • A person with strong writing and copyediting skills
  • A person who is organized, disciplined and on the ball
  • Enrolled in post-secondary training in PR or communications
  • Someone who can self-manage and takes responsibility for their work and their schedule
