Performance Goals
Deliver Accurate, On-Brand Work with Strong Quality Assurance: Own the quality of all production assets across print and digital by ensuring work is accurate, on-brand, and ready for market. Act as a consistent QA checkpoint by catching errors, misalignment, and inconsistencies in copy, specs, and design. The result? Stronger first versions and fewer revisions.
Keep Production Moving Smoothly: Identify missing or unclear project details early and work collaboratively with internal teams or clients to resolve gaps. Make sure inputs, timelines, and next steps are clear in every project. The result? Work that moves forward without unnecessary delays.
Support Efficient Use of Internal and External Resources: Work closely with the Production Design Manager to help projects move through production smoothly. Identify when work should be outsourced to meet timelines or capacity needs and manage freelancers effectively. The result? We deliver quality work on time and within provided budgets.
Build Client Confidence Through Reliable Delivery: Support client trust by ensuring production work is well organized, clearly communicated, and delivered as expected. The result? Clients feel confident that details are being handled carefully and that production work is in capable hands.
Common Stressors of the Role
Pace, Volume, and Frequency of Production: Work This role operates in a high-volume production environment where multiple assets, formats, and deadlines are in motion at the same time. Work is often driven by client needs, campaign launches, and fast turnaround requests, which means priorities can shift quickly. You are expected to stay focused, organized, and forward-moving even when timing is tight and details arrive in stages rather than all at once.
Quality Accountability and Attention to Detail: A core responsibility of this role is acting as the final quality checkpoint before work goes out the door. This creates ongoing pressure to maintain a high level of focus and care, particularly when reviewing copy, specs, and brand alignment across repeatable production tasks. Small details matter, and this role carries accountability for catching errors, inconsistencies, or missing elements before they reach clients.
Navigating Incomplete Information: Production work does not always arrive with perfect or complete inputs. This role regularly requires identifying gaps in briefs, specs, or timelines and proactively working with internal teams or clients to fill those gaps. That can mean asking clarifying questions, slowing work temporarily to protect quality, or balancing forward momentum with the need for accuracy.
Coordination Across People and Partners: The role sits at the center of production activity, coordinating across managers, coordinators, designers, freelancers, and clients. This creates a need to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and keep work moving without owning every decision. You will often need to balance responsiveness with judgment, collaboration with standards, and calm problem-solving when capacity or timelines are under pressure.
