The UpHouse team is participating in this year’s Easter Seals Drop Zone — an adrenaline-pumping fundraising adventure that propels you out of your comfort zone and sees teams rappelling from the top of the Hydro building onto the streets of downtown Winnipeg.
We’re raising money on behalf of Manitoba Possible, an incredible organization near to our hearts that works to eliminate the barriers that prevent Manitobans with disabilities from being able to fully participate in an inclusive and accessible society.
On August 23, 2022, we’ll be stepping backwards off of the top of the Hydro building at 360 Portage Avenue and rappelling down to the street, all for a good cause. Can it get anymore intense than that?
Needless to say, we’re excited and we’re also a bit anxious!
“It’s an intimidating challenge, to be sure, but it’s nothing compared to the accessibility obstacles that Manitobans with disabilities have to face each day. That’s why I can’t wait to take part in such an awesome event for such a fantastic cause.” – Danielle
“It’s such an exciting way to fundraise – how often do you even get to be that high up? I’m a little nervous my legs are going to forget how to work but I’ll have a great story to tell either way!” – Kelsey
“I feel like this is such a unique way to raise awareness and fundraise for an important cause! I’m super nervous but when I think about why I’m doing it, it’s worth it to me!” – Aliyah
