Tell us about your background.
Where do you start? What do you usually have on or around you? What is your creative process like?
I am always surrounded by notebooks and pens. I feel naked without one in reach.
You have a very unique and defining style. Can you tell us what the process of finding that style and perfecting it has been like for you?
Your illustrations are lighthearted, raw, and evocative. What inspires your work?
What is one tool at your desk or workspace that you couldn’t live without?
What do you do to get out of a creative slump?
I believe perfectionist thinking is the root cause of creative slumps.
Can you tell us a little bit about your favourite project, and why it’s your fave?

Sometimes I have to check in with myself on why I create the art that I do. . The answer comes down to: exposure therapy. . I believe the more content out there implying that thin is not the only form of beauty, the better. . My challenge (to myself) is to create art that shows how beautiful curves are. Even how beautiful voluptuous women eating [sometimes not-so-nutritious] food can be. . It’s my little contribution in dismantling our society’s impossible, elusive beauty standards. . I believe in my bones, the more content like this, the better. There can never be too much. And that’s what keeps me going. . I choose to portray large women with big legs and thick arm and saggy breasts and stomach rolls. That’s the corner I’ve chosen to tackle. And still, in many ways, it’s still a very “safe” corner. . There are thousands of other types of bodies in this world that can be glorified, that don’t fit the societal standard. . I believe there’s an infinite need for this kind of content. . It makes it so much easier to create when you’re coming from that kind of place of abundance. 🥥
